Enrollment Benefits
Motivational Workshops Most people will become familiar with Maryland Saves at the workplace or through faith-based agencies, community organizations, or social service motivational workshops. Organizations are encouraged to contact the office to arrange workshops for their employees, parishioners, or clients. Trained presenters will be able to offer a 30-minute to one-hour presentation that touches on several of the contributing issues to motivating people to save and reduce debt.
Coaching Coaches will be available upon requests to work one-on-one with Savers for the purpose of developing goals in their financial lives. Coaches can also refer Savers to other community resources.
Quarterly newsletters Newsletters come from the national program, America Saves, and will also be introduced from our local office to our enrolled Savers.
Fee reduced or waived savings accounts Local financial institutions will offer fee-waived or reduced-fee savings accounts to those individuals who enroll in the program. These accounts are a tremendous benefit of joining.
Educational seminars Additional educational seminars will be offered every quarter.
Referrals to other sources If Savers have a particular financial related issue they want to address, the Coordinator or Coach can make a referral to an appropriate social service organization or suggest a type of for-profit entity that can help.
