Who We Are

Maryland Saves is the local campaign to encourage individuals and families to build wealth among Maryland residents. Maryland Saves is a coalition of Maryland community organizations, employers, government agencies, financial institutions, and faith-based groups that offer free services to help people save and build wealth. The program is for any Maryland resident. The primary target is low and middle income families. The expected outcome is that people will change the way they think about money. Through changed thinking they will learn to save and spend with intent, bring stability to their financial present, and hope to their financial future.

Maryland Savers will have the option to participate in educational workshops and seminars, work with an individual coach, receive advice from a Certified Financial Planner, be referred to other resources to solve financially related problems, receive quarterly newsletters, and open reduced or fee waived savings accounts.

Maryland Saves is a part of the national program America Saves, which is managed by the national nonprofit Consumer Federation of America.
